Melanie Woods GPHR, SPHR - Managing Partner
Melanie is the Managing Partner of CGL Recruiting and an HR professional with over 20 years of diverse industry experience including Oil & Gas, Healthcare, Automotive, Technology and Manufacturing. Her areas of expertise include talent management, strategic planning, developing human capital management systems, cross functional team building and coaching management teams at all levels within the organization.
As a Business Partner she is experienced in leading multi-disciplinary teams to successfully drive business objectives and execution of large domestic and international projects for diverse clients. Melanie founded CGL Recruiting with the intention of creating a firm that was focused on more than just the words on a job description. She believes the best way to build a top performing company is by selecting the talent which best aligns with the short and long term goals of the corporation to accomplish their strategic business objectives. Melanie has a degree from The University of Texas in Austin in Applied Learning Development, is GPHR and SPHR certified and holds additional instructor certifications on various training.
Maureen Hooper - Director of Operations
As Director of Operations Maureen Hooper ensures the daily operations of CGL Recruiting run smoothly. Maureen works closely with our clients on invoicing, contracts and recruiting needs. Maureen has over 20 years of financial experience working in a variety of roles from general accounting to business process improvement. She has also worked in a number of industries such as oil & gas, IT, construction and financial institutions. Maureen has a BBS from Sam Houston State University.
Wes Woods, PE - Technical Expert
Wes serves as CGL’s engineering expert with knowledge in the complete engineering life cycle – design, manufacture, quality, implementation/troubleshooting and product support. As a Business Partner experienced in leading multi-disciplinary teams to successfully drive business objectives and execution of projects for diverse clients, his expertise gives the CGL team an edge in finding those mission critical, extremely technical roles. Wes has three degrees – Physics, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science, has his PE license and holds several patents.
